Post Modern and Badass?

I first fell in love with Sand during his flashback to childhood sidekicking in JSA #18. This love was sealed with his declaration in JSA #5 (in the midst of fighting naked) that "In my day it took a dozen dates just to get a kiss. These days, you don't 'score' by your second or third, there's something wrong with you." I adored him but had no clue what to do with him. I tried to hook him up with Barbara Gordon, but that just didn't work. So then one night, while chatting with a friend, I said that he'd be cute paired up with Jack Knight, not having any real intention of doing it. But the more I played around with the characters and the more I talked about it, the more I liked the idea. But there are lots of ways to look at Sand because he's been given so little adult characterization so I started this page hoping to find more fanfinction to round out the ideas.

PMaBA is a page for all things Sand, past, present and future. There's a condensed history, images from early to recent appearances, fanfiction and links to other biographies, histories, timelines and images. Because of the multiple ret-cons of Golden Age characters and the Vertigo line compounding the problem, there probably is no right timeline or order of events. There's quite a bit of fanfiction although much of it contains adult content such as sexual situation or homosexual relationships. (I admit, that's partly my fault.) Please read with caution and feel free to contribute stories of any genre, as long as they feature Sand. Come on in and share in the Sand-Love.
